Au maroc, juste avant les temps modernes, Oueld Bah est  l'ainé d'un homme puissant regnant sur une kasbah au flanc de l'atlas saharien. Enfant gâté, il est écarté de la succession de son frère cadet. Ould Bah décide alors de faire plier le sort.

Drama set in the Atlas region of North Africa. Rejected by his father as his heir, Ould Bah sets out ostensibly on a pilgrimage to Mecca. The real purpose of his journaey is to steal the treasure of a Berber tribe and to win back his power. In the process, his accomplices are murdered and the treasure turns out to be only a book which contains the traditions and customs of the tribe. Ould Bah descends into a state of madness and his downfall is inevitable.

In morocco, before modern times, Ould Bah is the older son of a mighty man living in a kasbah at the edge of presanharian atlas. As chreished boy, he is put aside from being heir against his younger brother. Oul Bah decides then to impacton destiny.
