Born on May 13, 1966 in Casablanca. After Baccalaureate in Humanities in Casablanca, Selma Bargach obtains a PhD in Arts and Sciences of Arts, majoring in Audiovisual. She collaborates on establishing a documentary and research centre, known as Aouchem, on the Maghreb Arts. She works as audiovisual manager at the ONA Foundation. Her film credits include a good number of experimental shorts as well as two short fictionals. In 2011, her film "The 5th Rope" won the Jury Prize at the Khouribga African Film Festival and the Best Sound Award and Special Mention of the Jury at the Moroccan National Film Festival in Tangier.
