Biography

Abdelilah EL Jaouhary graduated in Literature from Fès Faculty of Arts. Renown director in the Maghreb, he directed some documentary films (Raja bent El Malah, "Le danseuse") and short films ("Clics et déclics", (2011); “De l’Eau et du Sang” / "Water & Blood", (2014)). He is also a journalist, film critic, and writer credited with four books about Moroccan and international cinema. He is an active member of film societies, and the association of Moroccan writers. His second short film, "De l'eau et du sang" (2014) won the Poulain d'or at Fespaco 2015 (Ouagadougou, Best Short Award).
