Lakhmari Nour Eddine
Biography
Born on February 15, 1964 in Safi, Morocco, Nour-Eddine Lakhmari left for France to study Pharmacy but quickly changed his studies to follow his passion : Cinema.
His first short films shot in Oslo, Norway gave him the opportunity to join the Oslo Film Academy, and many of them were awarded prizes. His first feature film Le Regard was released in 2005, won several awards and seduced Scandinavian and Moroccan critics. His second feature film, Casa Negra, shot in Casablanca, was released in Morocco on December 24, 2008. The film has won several international awards, and was officially chosen to represent Morocco for the Best Foreign Language Film Oscar at the 82nd Oscars Ceremony. Then Lakhmari directed his third feature film Zero,also shot in Casablanca, released in 2012. In 2018, he closed his Casablanca's trilogy with "Burnout". The film was selected at the Brussels International Film Festival. Lakhmari also worked on the first four episodes of the TV series El Kadia for 2M.
