Bensaïdi Faouzi
Biography
Faouzi Bensaïdi, born March 14, 1967 in Meknes, is a director, scriptwriter and Moroccan actor. Faouzi Bensaidi trained as a comedian at the Institute of Dramatic Arts and Cultural Animation in Rabat and at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in Paris in 1995. After several stage productions at the theater, he moved on to directing short films from 1997 with notably La Falaise which gets 23 awards in festivals. He co-wrote the screenplay of André Téchiné's Loin in 1999, then signed his first feature film Mille mois in 2003.
His film Volubilis is selected in the section Venice Days at Venice Mostra 2017.
