Tazi Mohamed Abderrahman
Biography
Mohamed Abderrahman Tazi was born in 1942 in the city of Fez. He studied at the Institute of Higher Cinematographic Studies (IDHEC) in Paris where he graduated in 1963. He then pursued communication studies at the University of Syracuse, New York.
In 1979, he created the production company " Arts et Techniques Audio-visuels". Producer and director of cultural programs for the RTM - Moroccan Television and Spanish Television, he was also technical advisor or production delegate on some films by Robert Wise, John Huston and Francis F. Coppola filmed in Morocco. He made his first feature film in 1981, "Le Grand Voyage", then directed and produced "Badis" in 1989, "À la recherche du mari de ma femme " in 1994, and "Lalla Hobby" in 1997. From 2000 to 2003, he is Director of productions at the Moroccan television channel 2M. He also chaired the Group of Moroccan Authors, Directors and Producers, and the Moroccan Chamber of Technicians and Collaborators for Creation.
