Zoughi Hamid

Biography

Hamid Zoughi was born on April 7, 1942 in Casablabca. From 1958 until 1964, Zoughi had joined the Municipal Conservatory. After the Baccalaureate, Hamid Zoughi landed a job at the railroads from 1964. Two years later, he left his post to go abroad to study cinema. he did an internship as a stage director at the Municipal Theater until 1972. In the cinema, and since the early 70s, Hamid Zoughi  interpreted several roles.

As director, Hamid Zoughi has all kinds of films including the short film "24 heures de la vie d'un pécheur" (1998), but also soap operas like "Sta man stin" and "Bouyout min nar" which had a great success. The same success will be collected by his feature film "Kharboucha", based on a real story.
