Trailer
  • What is happening with women detained in prisons in Morocco? The walls of concrete and silence hide a taboo, which is difficult to lift. Director Mohamed Nabil has done everything to be able to tell the story of the Moroccan prison for women. After a lot of difficulties and two years of waiting for a filming authorization by the Moroccan authorities, he was finally able to return with his team in this secret world.   This 65-minute documentary film is a source of inspiration, extremely moving, where the protagonists are not only defined by their crimes, but by their experience and the truth through their eyes. To reduce the unspeakable in the silence of the cells, the director also interviewed ex-prisoners. The film poses provocative questions about the penitentiary system and society in Morocco and offers remarkable images of women detainees and prison staff.
